Meet the Crew

Dr. Neilsen received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Clemson University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from MUSC. He did his internship at East Carolina University and his residency at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and has numerous areas of interest in medicine, including Wellness, Urgent Care, Sports Medicine, and Wilderness Medicine.  Since graduation he has he has worked in Family Medicine, Urgent Care, Telehealth, and Occupational Medicine.  

Dr. Neilsen has a served in a variety of leadership positions including having served on the South Carolina PA Advisory Board and Palmetto Health Quality Collaborative Board, and as Medical Director for several local and statewide organizations.  

Dr. Neilsen is blessed to be living in the Charleston area and enjoys working out in the gym, fishing, sailing, and spending time with his wife, two sons, and Daisy (his rescue dog).
